HTC One X Receiving Jelly Bean On Canadian Carrier Rogers

Jelly Bean for HTC One X

Users on Canadian carrier Rogers are seeing the update to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean for the HTC One X.

Rogers promised to roll out Android 4.1 Jelly Bean to the HTC One X in early January, and it seems that they have lived up to their promises as owners of the One X on Rogers are reporting seeing update notifications on their devices.

Those that haven’t received the notification for an update to Jelly Bean can head into Setting > About Phone > System Software Updates. Rogers has not mentioned if Jelly Bean is rolling out to devices in stages or if it is widely available for everyone.

Keep in mind that Rogers is rolling out Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean and not Android 4.1.2, which is a tad unfortunate. No doubt owners of the One X will be awaiting an update to Android 4.1.2 and even Android 4.2 now that Android 4.1.1 has rolled out.

Now that Rogers has the update, it shouldn’t be too long before AT&T updates the HTC One X for U.S owners, as AT&T tends to update their devices not long after Rogers.

AT&T has yet to confirm an update for the HTC One X, which is unfortunate considering the rest of the world has received Jelly Bean long before AT&T users. Hopefully AT&T will announce something of the sort now that users in Europe, Asia and Canada are enjoying the sticky and buttery goodness of Jelly Bean.

Not waiting around for AT&T to get their shit together. Already flashed a nightly of CM10 and I love it. Won’t be going back to Sense that’s for sure.
