Apple releases iOS 6.1, jailbreak on the way

iOS 6.1 update

If you are an iPhone user, here is a news that is going to make you happy. The Cupertino tech giant has just started rolling out the new iOS 6.1 update for the operating system of your Apple device. The update is going to be available on a range of iOS based device and is coming with a lot of new features as we had seen on the beta releases for developers.

Just a few days back, the company had released the fifth version of the beta. So we thought that the final release would take a few more days. But what is more interesting than the release of the operating system update is that the new jailbreak release that is going to come with this release is that for the first time we would get an untethered jailbreak for iPhone 5 running IOS 6.x.

And the new jailbreak is going to cover 22 devices, and we hope that Apple TV will be covered by the jailbreak sometime later. With all this fun, the new software update will bring new features such as the ability to buy just one song from an album on iTunes Match, buy movie tickets on Fandango via Siri, and LTE support on more wireless carriers. And you will be able to reset the advertising identifier using a new button. Although, some of these new features will be restricted to the United States based users of the operating system.

If you are very eager to download the update, just go to settings on your iPhone or other iOS based device and check for updates. You should be able to get the update over the air. If not, you can connect your device to your Windows computer or Mac and use iTunes to download the update. Do that now and enjoy the new features.
