Unlocked Samsung Galaxy S III (GT-I9300) Starts To Receiving Jelly Bean

Samsung has been provided Jelly Bean love all over the place. They’ve pushed updates to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, we’ve seen the update on AT&T and even in Canada! It’s now confirmed that the official update for Jelly Bean is being pushed out world wide. Keep in mind that this is being pushed out in phases though, so the S III you have may not get it right away, but be sure to be on the lookout for it this week! This update will bring the Jelly Bean build up to¬†JZO54K. You may already know what’s provided in the Jelly Bean update, but as a refresher, users will get to experience features like Google Now, Project Butter, Multi-View, and an improved notification panel among other things.

Owners of the unlocked Galaxy S III can easily check for the update through Kies Desktop software or through OTA (Over The Air). If you’ve chosen the OTA route, just hit Settings > About Phone > Software Update. If the update hasn’t been pushed to your device yet, keep checking as it will surely be there sometime this week, maybe even later today!

Now hopefully those rumors of Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) for the Galaxy Note II will prove to be true and roll out sometime soon as well!

Have you gotten the Jelly Bean update yet? Do you think that the update was worth the wait? How do you like the update so far? Make sure to let us know in the comments below!
