Storage Options Releases Scroll Evoke 7-Inch Jelly Bean Tablet

Storage Options, a UK-based electronics company, has just unveiled its newest 7-inch tablet called the Scroll Evoke. The tablet, which runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, currently retails at £119.99.

It features a RK3066 Dual Core ARM Cortex A9 1.6GHz processor working alongside a Mali-400 2D / 3D Quad Core GPU. Its In-Plane Switching (IPS) display is a capacitive multi-touch screen with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. It comes with 8GB of internal memory that is still expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. It also comes with a full gigabyte of RAM.

The Scroll Evoke draws its power from a Long Life Li-Polymer Rechargeable Battery. It has two cameras onboard. The main one, which is found on the tablet’s rear, sports a 2-megapixel image sensor whereas its secondary camera on its front has a 0.3-megapixel sensor. A 1W / 8Ω speaker is also available as well as a 3.5 mm earphone jack for entertainment. Some of its capabilities include 3D gaming, e-mail, and movie and music playback. Various e-book formats are also supported. Several apps are already preloaded on the tablet, such as Facebook, MSN Talk, Twitter, and BBC News.

The Evoke’s wireless networking options are Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0. Users will furthermore find a USB port on the slate.

As for its dimensions, the Scroll Evoke is wrapped in a slim aluminium casing and measures 125mm x 188mm x 10mm.

Apart from the Scroll Evoke, Storage Options also sells other tablets in 7-, 8-, and 9.7-inch sizes. These are the Extreme II, Elite, Engage, Excel, Essential, Pocket Tablet, Basic Plus, and Explore, all of which are part of the Scroll line.
