Manu Cornet’s Evolution of Android Hints At Next Version Of Android, Key Lime Pie

As you all know, the Android operating system has come an extremely long way since it originally launched five years ago. The vast amount of improvements and added features have been bizzaire. Google employee Manu Comet posted a drawing on his Google+ change. It is literally the evolution of Android. In the image he posted, we see the little green Android evolving from a weak blob of a bare-bones OS (cupcake) into something almost terrific (Jelly Bean). In every phase of the evolution, he is eating the dessert coincided with a particular Android release (e.g. Cupcake, Donut, Eclair and etc).

There’s one thing that is particularly interesting to the image though. The last part of the evolution on the image/comic strip shows the little green Android eating a bite of Key Lime Pie, which has been rumored to be the next release of Android. Keep in mind that this isn’t an official confirmation from Google, but it seems like it is strong evidence as to what Android 5.0 could look like.

Who knows what this could mean. It could just be confusion thinking that that might be Android 4.2 or it literally might be the next evolution of the Android operating system.

My question is, how much of a difference would Key Lime Pie be to the most recent release of Jelly Bean (Android 4.2).

What do you think of this image / comic strip? Do you think that it could actually be a hint towards Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie? I think Ill go along with the rumor bandwagon on this one.
