As you know, Google’s nexus 10 has been out of stock for some time now on the Google Play Store, which has been a huge disappointment for quite a few interested buyers. Good news is that the tablet showed up on Staples’ online store. Bad news is that the tablet was later listed as sold out.
The Nexus 10 tablet had also been seen at a few brick and mortar Staples locations along with various Walmart locations. Walmart’s website has the 32 gig version of the tablet available for pick-up at the store of home delivery. Those who plan on purchasing the tablet online aren’t going to be able to get this in time for Christmas, as the earliest time customers will receive their tablet is December 27th. While it is unfortunate that interested customers will have to wait until after Christmas to receive the device, it’s a whole lot better than waiting for more stock to arrive in the Google Play Store.
The Nexus 10 touts a 10.05-inch 2560 x 1600 display with a pixel density of 300ppi, 36 more ppi than the third and fourth generation of Apple’s iPad. The device is powered off of a dual core 1.7GHz CPU with 2 gigs of RAM. There is a 5-megapixel strapped to the back of the device that will capture 1080p at 30fps while a 1.9-megapixel camera is strapped to the front of the device. One of the neat features of the tablet is that it is running off of the latest version of Android, 4.2. As this is a Nexus device, it will receive priority firmware upgrades.
