Christmas is nearly upon us, and this year we have a new way to track Santa Claus, as Google  has launched their own Santa Tracking app filled with a plethora of features. Starting on Monday, December 24th (Christmas Eve), Children young and old will be able to grab their parents’ smartphones and watch Santa Claus travel across the world with Google’s widely known sleigh tracking technology (Google Maps)! At the time of this writing, Santa takes off in 4 days and 15 hours. That’s quite a while to wait. In the meantime, you can head over to Google’s Santa Tracking website and play a few Santa-themed games. You could also customize a message for Santa to deliver to another loved one via a phone call!

Regardless, you can grab Google’s Santa Tracking app in the Google Play Store as long as your device is running Froyo or greater versions of Android.

Nice idea, but it doesn’t work on the Galaxy Note 2.

Wish it did, from the screen shots it looks like my kids would love it.
