Video game developer Telltale has announced the release of the final episode of the highly-acclaimed adventure series, the Walking Dead, this week. Titled as ‘No Time Left,’ the latest Walking Dead game marks the fifth installment and the last of the online series, which is based on the hit comic book by Charlie Adlard and Robert Kirkman.
The San Rafae, California-based company has enjoyed tremendous success since the launching of the first walking dead game in April. In fact, the first episode of the Walking Dead series sold 1 million copies in just 20 days, making it the fastest-selling title for Telltale.
“We can’t thank you all enough for your incredible support and we can’t wait for you all to experience the season finale of YOUR Walking Dead story,” said in a statement by Telltale.
Telltale said the Walking Dead ‘No Time Left’ will further expand the story’s compelling plot as the main protagonist Lee Everett battles zombie virus infection and searches for his adopted daughter Clementine.
“With one week left until launch worldwide, now is a great time for you and your friends to catch up on the series so you can all experience the season finale and discuss it together,” said Telltale.
Telltale is expected to launch the 5-game series of season one in two different collections (Bare-bones package and the Walking Dead: Compendium One) on December 4 for both XBOX 360 and PlayStation 3 gaming platforms. The Special edition Compendium One feature 48 issues of the series
Telltale already announced last July that a second season of the Walking Dead online series is currently being developed and is expected to be released early next year.
The Walking Dead season finale will be available on the PSN on 20th of November while PC, XBLA, and iOS versions will be available on the 21st of November.
