Rumors and speculations about the Samsung Galaxy S4 started surfacing almost immediately the SIII hit the market – but they all anchor on it coming to the market in 2013. Today, these rumors may have been notched up a step with benchmark results of a mysterious GT-I9400 device which some claim may be the SIV, but based on the specs, this is very unlikely. The NenaMark2 benchmark results of the GT-I9400 indicate that the device comes with a 1.2 GHz processor with Mali 400 MP GPU and an unimpressive 480×800 resolution screen.
Earlier rumors indicated that Samsung’s next flagship smartphone will come with a 5 inch 1080p screen with a 1920×1080 resolution, a Samsung Exynos quad-core 5450 CPU, 2 GB RAM and a 13 MP camera. The race of high performance smartphones seems to be shaping up and it seems top contenders in the Android market including Samsung and LG and smaller companies out of China such as Oppo, Meizu and Xiaomi coming up with lowly priced smartphones with impressive hardware capabilities.
The big question is, are the GT-I9400 benchmark results pointing to the next Galaxy S smartphone the SIV? If the device is going to be released next year, will Samsung release the SIV with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean when all indications are that Google are already testing the next version of Android 5.0? Although these specs show that the GT-I9400 may not have the specs of the next Galaxy S Android smartphone, bearing in mind that the S3 was GT-I9100 showing that the two phones are most definitely related.
