News broke out earlier this month that the predecessor to the Galaxy S III, the Galaxy S II 4G, would be Boost Mobile’s next prepaid smartphone. The device is the same thing as last year’s 2011 flagship smartphone from Samsung, only it has been re-purposed in the Titanium Black color. The so-called 4G it offers is from the included WiiMax radios (WiiMax vs LTE comparison here), which Boost Mobile has been borrowing from Sprint, their parent network (if you hadn’t known, Boost Mobile piggybacks off of Sprint’s network).

Boost Mobile’s Samsung Galaxy S II is available for you to buy today at $369.99 off contract. With the most recent release of the Nexus 4, it does sound very overpriced. So unless you are set on staying with Boost Mobile, there are a plentiful amount of other options that could save you quite a bit of money. As Talk Android notes, you can get a Nexus 4 off-contract and then just take it on over to T-Mobile and pay for data as low as $30 a month. Of course, it’s important to note that the Nexus 4 is currently out of stock. Google has said they’ll restock within three weeks, but even then you might have a slim chance of getting the Nexus 4 with the masses amount of people waiting for it.
