The Galaxy S Relay 4G from T-Mobile hasn’t been out very long, but it is already receiving an update to fix a few issues on the device. The new update is going to bring the Galaxy S Relay 4G up to firmware version T699UVALJ1. It will fix two issues on the device. The first issue is with Media Hub playback, and the second issue is some improvements to the pinch-and-zoom feature throughout the software on the device. Users who enjoy a bit of a smoother experience will be glad for this update. Although Samsung has said none of these fixes will be directly visible to the user. Since there has been a bit of stuttering on the Relay 4G’s pinch-and-zoom feature, users should at least notice a bit of a smoother experience.
Unfortunately, this update is only available through Samsung Kies desktop software. No OTA (Over The Air) is available for the update. With this being such a small update, you would expect that they would just push out via OTA instead of making users go through the complex Kies process. Regardless, these improvements will be welcomed whether it’s through OTA or not.
Have you downloaded the update on your Galaxy S Relay 4G yet? How is it fairing for you?
