Facebook testing Pages Feed to aggregate page statuses

We like a lot of pages on Facebook. These pages will be of major news agencies, your favorite brand page, a page of your favorite product, and even celebrity fan pages. We like all these pages to keep ourselves updated with what’s going on around the world. For this to happen, we need to see the posts or status updates from these liked pages on our Facebook news feed.

But since an average Facebook user has friends in excess of hundred, the important status updates from important pages do not actually reach the users. Hence, the user will miss out on important status updates. To avoid this from happening, Facebook is introducing a new feature called “Pages Feed.” This new feature will let users get the status updates from all liked pages in one place, removing the status updates from their friends from the list.

This new feature has already been enabled for some Facebook users. And if you are one of the lucky ones to get that feature, you will find “Pages Feed” on the left pane under the “Pages” section. And if you do not find this link, you do not have to worry as you can still see all the status updates from liked pages over here.

Facebook introduced lists which let users put friends in different lists so that they can see updates from only those friends when they check that stream. And for the each update in this stream, you will get a notification. The social networking giant is planning on bringing this same feature to pages as well. So every time there is a status update from your starred page, you will get a notification, so that you can keep yourself updated at all times.

This feature will not be available for all Facebook users right now, the company is releasing these to sets of people in batches. So have patience.
