Assassin’s Creed Anthology Official, Coming Out Later This Month

Considering purchasing Assassin’s Creed 3 and the rest of the series? You might want to hold off on that as publisher Ubisoft has announced that you will be able to own every last Assassin’s Cree game along with their DLC addons for a mere £119.99. The Assassin’s Creed Anthology Edition will be launching in the United Kingdom on the 30th of November and will be available exclusively through Amazon. Thus far, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the anthology have been listed, but there is no sign of it coming to the PC. I wouldn’t expect it to come to the PC either as we are usually left in the dust when it comes to Collector’s Editions of the game. Going off of that, it makes sense as to why they wouldn’t put it in a PC format. However, it might be possible that popular digital distribution client Steam could put together some sort of digital anthology.

It is also sounding like the Anthology will be exclusive to Europe as well. Ubisoft originally confirmed the existence of the Anthology to Eurogamer just yesterday. Today the company has listed every last item that will be included in the Anthology. Yes, that includes the Assassin’s Creed 3 season pass. Unfortunately  since this is exclusive to Europe, I really do hope they will bring it to the U.S as well, they are missing out on a huge market as the game is very popular in the United States.

The first slice of the Season Pass will be arriving in mid-December, Ubisoft confirmed. It is going to be the opening chapter into an extra campaign that will throw you against an evil George Washington. Of course, mid-December is only a time frame and has the potential to change.

In the Anthology, players will be able to experience the first Assassin’s Creed along with its respective DLC, Assassin’s Creed 2 and all of its DLC, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood and all of its DLC, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations and all of its DLC and lastly, Assassin’s Creed 3 and all of its DLC (you’ll receive a Season Pass on whatever account the code is tied too, which will give you access to all of the DLC provided).

It is important to note that Ubisoft did say that this would be exclusive for now. That means that we could potentially see a release of the Anthology in the United States, but as for right now, it hasn’t been confirmed. That said, you’ll just have to try and get yourself an Anthology through e-Bay or some other international sellers. Of course, the downside on this is it isn’t for the PC and just the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. I’m not entirely sure how it works, but I do think some of these games are region locked. Don’t hold me to this, but I think you would have to have your region set to the specific country the game was sent to. Again, don’t hold me to that.

Will anyone be picking up the Anthology?
