WickedLeak has expanded its product lineup in India with two Android tablets running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean called the Wammy Desire and the Wammy Athena tablets. The Wammy Desire is selling for Rs. 6,499 whereas the Wammy Athena retails for Rs. 13,999. They are available for pre-order at present, and are expected to arrive on October 14.
The Wammy Desire is the smaller tablet between the two, with its display measuring 7 inches diagonally. It comes with a Capactitive 5-point touch screen with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. This tablet is driven by an ARM Cortex A9 Dual Core CPU running at a speed of up to 1.5 GHz and a 400 Mali Quad Core graphics processor. It is also packed with 1GB of DDR3 RAM plus 8GB of user memory. This storage may receive a boost from an SD card with any capacity up to 32GB through a built-in slot.
It is furthermore fuelled by a 3000 mAH Lithium-Ion which promises around 6 hours of web browsing and video playback. Wi-Fi and 3G are the connectivity options supported by the tablet, the latter via an external dongle. There is also an Ethernet port, as well. The Desire comes with several preloaded apps such as Hero Of Sparta, Spiderman, Nova, and Gun Bros.
On the other hand, the Wammy Athena boasts of a 9.7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. This display is also a capacitive 10-point touch screen. The Athena has a 1.5 GHz ARM Cortex A9 Dual-Core processor working alongside a 400 Mali Quad-Core GPU. It also has 1GB of DDR3 RAM as well as 16GB of memory that may be expanded up to 32GB. The tablet moreover features front and rear cameras, both with 2-megapixel sensors. Its battery, which is a 8,000 mAH Lithium-Ion one, runs up to 6 hours like the one on the Desire tablet. Wi-Fi and 3G through an external dongle are available on this tablet.
