The Samsung Galaxy Note II is doing well for the South Korean Android smart phone giant. The company is now selling the smart phone worldwide, and in places where the Smartphone is going to go on sale via wireless carriers, the carriers are getting busy reading the smart phone. In the United States of America, AT&T and Sprint have already outed their plans for the awesome smart phone, and U. S. Cellular also seems to be ready for the launch. Now the attention is on the Big Red, Verizon.
But now it looks like the wireless carrier is all set to take orders of the awesome smart phone. Earlier rumors have suggested that the Big Red would be taking pre orders for the Samsung Galaxy Note II on the 25th of October. And it turns out that the rumor was very accurate, because the Samsung Galaxy Note II pre order page on the wireless carrier’s web site has gone live. But as usual, the wireless carrier has not specified the launch date or pricing details.
“The smartphone will cost $299 with a two-year contract or $699 for full retail. The pre-order page says the phone will ship by November 27, but this date could change once Verizon steps up and makes the Note 2 official,” says Into Mobile.
For those who do not know what the Samsung Galaxy Note II holds, the awesome smart phone comes with a very big 5.5 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. This takes the pixel density to approximately 267 ppi. The S Pen stylus has been improved compared to the first generation Galaxy Note, with some ergonomics changes (thicker and longer).
The smart phone also offers Samsung’s latest TouchWiz user interface, adding a lot of cool features to the already awesome Android operating system. We have multi window operations and sidebars on the smart phone. The Galaxy Note II comes with Android 4.1.1, also known as Jelly Bean, out of the box.
The 1.6 GHz quad core Cortex A9 based Exynos 4412 processor with 2 GB of RAM is a good combination for speedy performance. The 8 mega pixel camera at the back and the 1.9 mega pixel front facing shooters make the smart phone a good camera. There are many more features of the smart phone, which would take a lot of time to explain.
