An allegedly leaked T-Mobile roadmap shows that the LG Optimus L9 is scheduled to be released on October 31. This is in line with a previous announcement by LG and T-Mobile regarding the handset’s availability this fall. The price, however, of the latest L-series phone remains to be revealed.
The T-Mobile roadmap likewise shows other devices such as the Blackberry Armstrong, which has an October 24 schedule; the Huawei Summit, which is slated for October 30; a Samsung device, which is set for November 7, the Dell BMW, which is set for November 14, and the HTC Windows Phone 8X, which is scheduled for November 14. There is furthermore a Color Refresh for the Samsung Galaxy S II on October 29.
Among the LG Optimus L9’s key specifications are a qHD Corning Gorilla Glass 2 Display measuring 4.5 inches, a 1 GHz Dual-Core Processor, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The device is powered by a 2,150 mAh Battery and supports T-Mobile’s 4G Network. Moreover, it is packed with a 5-megapixel main camera with LED Flash and a capability to capture True-to-Life 1080p videos. This camera comes with customizable camera modes, and other settings like ISO, White Balance, and Brightness. There is also a feature called Cheese Shot which lets users take a photo by just saying “cheese.” Shooting modes available on the phone include Normal, Panorama, and Continuous Shot. The LG Optimus L9 also offers Wi-Fi Connectivity, Wi-Fi Calling, T-Mobile Smartphone Mobile HotSpot, Bluetooth Version 3.0 + HS, Slacker Radio, and SmartShare. LG QuickMemo, a feature that enables users to attach comments or drawings on screenshots and send these to contacts, is also onboard. Other notable features on the handset include a video player that comes with Video Player with One Touch Lock, Resume Play, and Dolby Mobile, as well as a music player with Dolby Mobile and support for various audio files.
