If you haven’t heard of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7 inch), you’ve probably been living under a rock for quite some time now. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7-inch is one of Samsung’s best tablets, and actually, in my opinion, one of the best tablets out on the market right now. It will cost you a good $199 – $250 depending on where you buy it from, but a website known as Woot.com has the device on sale for $170, which could potentially be a extremely good deal for you depending on where you were looking to purchase it from. Woot.com is a website where all geeks, and really anyone looking for a good deal, should be looking at before heading to Amazon or your local store to pick something up. Often you will find $800 TV’s for $400, and then other times you’ll find $1200 laptops for $700. Woot is just an overall good website for trying to save money on more expensive items like tablets and such.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 features a dual core 1GHz processor that will open web pages and apps seamlessly. It is powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, has a 3.0 mega pixel rear camera, 1GB of RAM, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi capabilities, and is a 7′ display with a 1024 x 600 WSVGA resolution. It comes in 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, and has options for expanding the storage up to another 32GBs via a microSD card. I have had experiences to play with this tablet multiple times, and if you have the money I would suggest waiting to see what happens at Google’s upcoming Playground event in New York City. We may just be seeing a 32GB Nexus 7 tablet unveiled in the price range of $199 – $250, and the Nexus 7 is by far a better tablet than the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, just without the microSD card.
Whatever the case, the sale on this tablet does end on October 23rd, which is tomorrow. Woot does have tablets up on sale often, so there may be another chance to get one real soon, but you really can’t beat the $170 deal they are asking for. I can guarantee that, unless you’re buying from a good friend, you will have an extremely hard time finding this anywhere else. Alternatively if you do not make it in time to purchase the tablet, Amazon has it brand new for $199, which you can purchase at one of the links below if you so wish.
All of this said, The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 is highly worth it, its $30 off on Woot.com for today only, and the deal will end some time tomorrow (presumably early in the morning). You can check out the Woot link below to get the full run down on details and features that this baby offers. Again, I would suggest waiting for the Google Playground event, as the Nexus 7 will be giving you more bang for your buck with a larger storage option, but aside from that, if its not something you want, this is the perfect tablet to fit your needs.
