Motorola Atrix 2 And Google Chrome Work Well Together

Something I entirely forgot to mention in my thoughts on the Atrix 2 Ice Cream Sandwich update was the fact that it also enabled the use of Chrome, as Robert, one of our readers, pointed out. I got to say, this is actually one of the most useful and helpful apps as far as browsers go. Firefox is really lacking in terms of stability, speed and even as far as tabs go. The stock browser is much better than Firefox, but is still really limiting, and its performance is just downright terrible. Chrome has been on Google Play for quite some time now, but has only been available for devices that are running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Since the Atrix 2’s update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, I have been really excited to use Google Chrome on it. It is speedy, fast, and is not limiting in any way. There are multiple options for you to make the experience as smooth for you as possible, those options consist of  bandwidth management, various content settings for you to choose from (e.g. blocking silly pop up windows), and so on. It really is extremely helpful, as it offers a lot of things that Firefox just does not have on mobile yet. Heck, I’ve even been using Chrome on my desktop a lot more this past week due to some serious issues Firefox has been having (it’s worth noting that Firefox has issues very often, but not to the point where the browser randomly crashes, tabs will not open and etc).

Google Chrome has been working wonderfully on Android, at least for me thus far. I can say that I have noticed a massive speed improvement, and I definitely will not be going back to another browser on Android, as I am now addicted to the speed that Google Chrome has shown me. Actually, I was entirely surprised that Google was offering this for free, just because of how drastically better it was than both the stock browser and its competitor, Firefox. Of course, if they want to keep themselves in the game against Firefox, it is understandable as to why it is free. I’m not complaining about it being free though, it is just such a drastic difference than what the other browsers offer, I was literally surprised that it was free. That said, if you are on the Atrix 2, heck, if you are on any device running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, I would highly suggest heading into Google Play and giving Google Chrome a look over.

Of course, a lot of you are familiar with Firefox, and would choose that over Chrome, but I at least say give it a good try. I promise that you will notice a huge speed difference along with an overall quality difference that Firefox just does not have right now. The Atrix 2 and Google Chrome work very well with each other, and I am really happy to have this browser available.
