The LG Nexus 4 has been extensively leaked over the past few weeks, and has also been a extremely hot topic. Almost everywhere you can find at least on discussion about the Nexus 4. Whether it be on Forums, comments, articles, you’ve probably seen at least one discussion about it in these past few weeks. We’ve gotten to see all sides of this phone, including its internals. The phone is still unannounced though, and there have been rumors that we could see it at Google’s Playground event in New York City on October 29th.
Today the ice has broke. LG has decided that it was time to part the Red Sea, it was time to break the silence on the device, according to reports from an Indian news website known as IBNLive. The website reports that Amit Gujral, who is the Head of Mobile Product Planning for LG India, has confirmed and acknowledged the device’s existence in an interview at one of the Optimus Vu launch events. “Google will unveil the LG Nexus on October 29 and the phone will be available in the Indian markets by the end of November,” Gujral said. He also has reportedly let out all of the specifications for the upcoming device. All of the reports that we’ve heard in the past have been confirmed, the 4.7 inch display, a 1.5GHz quad core CPU, and even the to-be-announced Android 4.2 Key Lime Pie.
The LG Nexus 4 will be available for purchase in India by the time the end of November comes around, following the unveiling by Google on October 29th at their Playground event in New York City. This means that other territories will most likely be getting this device even earlier in the month. I’m not entirely sure that this official confirmation from Gurjal was supposed to slip until after the Playground event, but whatever the case, things are shaping up to sound really promising for the LG Nexus device!
To round things up, we are going to be seeing the unveiling of the LG Nexus 4, then rumors are still surfacing that we’ll also be seeing an announcement of the 32GB Nexus 7 with possible 3G cellular data capabilities. I wonder what else they’ll be showing off? Could we possibly be able to see a Xperia Nexus device that we haven’t heard anything about yet? Maybe a top secret Motorola DROID Nexus (actually, considering recent events, that could be a potential disaster, but could also potentially be a redeeming factor for Motorola)? I’m getting really excited for this event, and to let everyone know, Android Central is going to be there livestreaming the entire thing. I would highly suggest heading over there when the event is taking place, as they will be covering just about everything! You can find more information on that by hitting the stream link below!
