The specifications of the HTC Desire SV have been allegedly leaked on Twitter through the user @FootballPDA, a member of the XDA-developers forum.
The device, which is also known as the HTC Magni, is believed to be packed with a 4.3 inch touch screen display whose resolution is yet to be revealed. It furthermore runs on a dual-core Snapdragon S4 Play MSM8225 processor with a speed of 1 GHz, the same processor, according to Android Soul, that is found on the HTC Desire X. It also sports 4GB of internal memory that is expandable through a built-in microSD card slot. The smartphone comes with 768MB of RAM and an 8-megapixel main camera with a maximum aperture of F/2.2. Assuming that is has a secondary camera, the image sensor of this front-facing snapper is still unknown.
The HTC Magni also comes with Bluetooth 4.0, and possibly Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich as its operating system. Lastly, it has a dual-SIM capability. This feature allows users to choose plans from two wireless carriers, enabling them to select the best deals and save money, or even to separate one’s personal mobile number with the one used for work.
The HTC Desire SV, which seems to be targeted at the mid-range segment judging from its list of specifications, is said to be headed for Europe. The specific areas where it will be available, however, have not been revealed. Meanwhile, it is still unknown whether the device will also be made available in the United States.
It may be recalled that earlier this year, the China-based electronics company announced that it would be reducing the smartphones that they will be releasing to a few exceptional models. However, it appears that HTC is still making smartphones that aim for the different market segments.
We’ll keep you posted as more information regarding the HTC Desire SV becomes available.
