The tablet market is one now of the hottest markets in the gadget world. A lot of people today are depending more on their tablets for things they have been used to doing on their desktop computers, or laptops, or other smaller devices such as netbooks and smart phones. Though Apple holds the ground in the tablet market, Android tablets such as the Nexus 7 by Google and Asus and a slightly based off the Android operating system, Amazon Kindle Fire, have started to shine in the 7 inch Android tablet market. There is still not a proper winner in the 10 inch Android tablet market.
Today, Alcatel has announced one its offerings to the world of Android tablets. The 7 inch Android tablet is called the Alcatel One Touch Evo 7, which clearly indicates that it’s a 7 inch device. The device packs a pretty good hardware set for an entry level and mid range Android tablet.
The Alcatel One Touch Evo 7 comes with a 1 GHz processor and 1 GB of RAM to support the operating system and the numerous apps which will run on it. For people who are high on video calls, you will get a front facing camera, but a camera on the rear is missing. So if you had plans of taking pictures with the rear camera, you are out of luck with this particular tablet. Also, if you are the kind of person who likes to stuff your tablet with a lot of media content, you will be happy to know that you will able to extend the on board memory of the tablet with an external microSD card, a feature which most Android tablets in the price range do not offer.
And if you are worried about data connectivity on the go, the tablet does not have a SIM card feature, but you can get an antenna and a 3G modem as an add on. The company offers a removable frame for the tablet which enables you to access 3G connectivity for the tablet. Are you interested in this one?
