32GB Nexus 7 Surfaces At Walmart For $249, 16GB Nexus 7 Lowered To $199

OK, by now we all know that there is a 32GB Nexus 7 tablet in the pipeline, but one retailer isn’t going to let hurricane Sandy deter all of the good news that was supposed to happen today at Google’s now cancelled Playground event. Walmart has casually listed the 32GB Nexus 7 on their website for the expected price of $249. As expected, Walmart has also bumped the 16GB Nexus 7 down to $199 where the 8GB Nexus 7 previously sat. One thing about this I noticed is that it is in stock and available. I went further into the checkout and also noticed that it says it can arrive at my home as late as Tuesday, November 6th. Apparently the pre-order process has been skipped?

Google hasn’t rescheduled their Playground event, nor is the 32GB Nexus 7 available on Google Play yet. Whatever the case, it seems like these dates may be hinting at when Google will release their 32GB Nexus 7, or they are going ahead without the OK from Google. I’m suspecting that Google may be telling retailers when it will release and that is why the 32GB Nexus 7 is available for purchase right now at Walmart.

On a more unrelated note, we still have not seen the rumored 3G Nexus 7 surface anywhere yet, so we may just need to hold our breath until Google reschedules their Playground event. On the other hand, it is possible that we could see a retailer list a 3G Nexus 7 soon as well.

Will you be ordering the 32GB Nexus 7 now?
