There are many companies in China manufacturing Android phones, but few of them ever get good enough to be mentioned in the international scene. One of the few companies that have been creative enough to come up with smartphones worthy of international recognition is Xiaomi. You will remember Xiaomi from the first phone they came up with Xiaomi Mi-One. Although this phone may not have prospered outside China, it left a mark in the smartphone market that left many looking forward for their second phone.
A couple of weeks ago, Xiaomi announced their new Xiaomi Mi-Two smartphone which I must admit has better specs at a lower price than most smartphones from renowned companies such as Samsung and HTC. The good news for those looking forward to Xiaomi’s second generation phone is that it is set to hit the stores by mid-October. Although the company did not give a specific date on when the handset will hit the stores or confirm their earlier reports that they intend to venture into the international market starting with Europe.
Production of Xiaomi Mi-Two starts on the 22nd of this month according to The Next Web website. The company intended to begin production later in October but we have to assume that things are working pretty well for the company, hence the push-forward of the production and launching dates. The last smartphone the company released sold pretty well. It was Xiaomi One S an improved version of their first generation Mi, the Xiaomi Mi One. Xiaomi had only 200,000 units of the Mi-One S made at launch despite their early reservations for 1.3 Million units. Over the last three years, the thousands of Chinese smartphone manufacturers have found an easier way out to arm their gadgets – fake or original – with Android.
Xiaomi has not made any changes to the earlier released specs list for the Mi-Two. If you missed the specs, here is an overview.
