Walmart And Target Sell T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S III For Less

Those who want a chance to get a Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone on T-Mobile for a lesser price may head over to Walmart or Target for what looks like a pretty good deal.

According to TmoNews, the 16GB version of the Samsung Galaxy S III sells for $148 at Walmart. Meanwhile, at Target, it retails for the higher cost of $169.99. Target’s promotion is available for until September 22 only whereas Walmart has not mentioned in their promotion when the discounted price will stop being available. The price is much lower than what T-Mobile itself is offering, which is $279.99 with a two-year contract.

Consumers, however, who prefer Verizon over T-Mobile can visit Amazon where the S III is selling for the discounted price $139.99.

It is worth noting that the Samsung Galaxy S III is Samsung’s Android flagship smartphone for this year, so its specifications are truly some of the best that Samsung offers at present. Among these is a 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED  display with a 1280×720 pixel resolution, a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, and support for 4G LTE connectivity. Also onboard is 2GB of RAM, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera. Other features include support for Near Field Communication, Bluetooth 4.0, various Google mobile services, and Samsung-exclusive services and applications like S Voice, S Beam, AllShare Play, Direct Call, and Pop up play. A 2,100 mAh provides power for the device, while a microSD card slot allows for expansion on its storage capacity.

Samsung reportedly sold over 20 million units of the device in just a hundred days worldwide, making the S III a very popular phone. That said, there is still a large number of consumers who have not picked up the device, and are possibly just waiting for the arrival of the Apple iPhone 5. These deals can entice consumers to choose the Samsung device over the Apple one, which is expected to be unveiled on September 12th.
