The Samsung Galaxy Reverb made a little bit of a delay in its development. That’s not an issue though as Virgin Mobile has now begun taking pre-orders for this new handset and are fully ready to roll it out on September 19th for $250. The handset is going to be packed with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, a 4 inch WVGA display, a 5 mega pixel camera, 4 gigs of internal storage, and a 1.4GHz single core processor. It’s definitely not a high end device, but it is fairly budget friendly (of course, for $50 more you could go with the T-Mobile Galaxy S II off-contract). Some other specifications include a 1700 mAh battery, 4GB ROM and 766MB RAM and a SD card slot.
For $250, the handset does sound highly worth the purchase, though I am really not fond of that single core processor it is packed with. Whatever the case, the handset will get the job done and obviously wasn’t meant to be one of those “outstanding” handsets that’s supposed to blow others like the Galaxy S III out of the water.
Pre-ordering the Samsung Galaxy Reverb is currently available at Virgin Mobile USA’s website for those who are wanting a fairly decent device with a great price for a data plan. Virgin Mobile’s Beyond Talk plan will offer you unlimited data and messaging with prices starting at only $35 every month. You should know that Virgin Mobile piggyback’s off of Sprint’s network, so the speeds you get are fairly nice for the price.
