Just last week T-Mobile had said that the Samsung Galaxy S relay would be available “in the coming weeks,” which of course, is always a companies famous last words. Surprisingly though, they’ve told us the official release date today, the Samsung Galaxy S Relay will available on September 19th. If you’ve kept up with the Galaxy S Relay news at all, you probably know that the handset has gone through a numerous amount of delays and name changes that kept it from hitting retailers for their targeted August date.
Although the Galaxy S Relay heavily resembles the Galaxy S III, the specifications definitely do not match up to it. The handset sports a 4 inch WVGA 800 x 480 display, last year’s Snapdragon S3 dual core clocked at 1.5GHz, 1GB of RAM, a 5 mega pixel rear camera, a 1.3 mega pixel front camera, NFC (Near Field Communication), and the handset is also powered with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with no promises for Jelly Bean so far. The handset also has a QWERTY slide-out keyboard. The handset in its entirety is priced at $150 after rebate.
Is anyone actually planning on purchasing this handset when it releases later this month? Let us know in the comments below!
