Just in time to usher students back to school, Samsung is offering the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 Student Edition Bundle. The device will be available only for a limited time, that is, between August 19 until September 1. Thus, those who want to avail of the deal should act fast before the offer is gone.
The Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 Student Edition Bundle comes in white and includes a keyboard dock and USB adapter in the box. All in all, the contents of the package are valued at $350 if users would be buying them separately. However, Samsung is offering it for only a suggested retail price of $249.99.
The physical keyboard that Samsung has thrown in makes typing on the device hassle-free for students. Meanwhile, the USB adapter allows users to connect peripherals to the tablet, such as a mouse, for instance, again allowing for easier input. Samsung has moreover preinstalled Polaris Office on the tablet to help students create and open reports or presentations. Also onboard is a Smart Remote App as well as an IR blaster that transforms the device into a universal smart remote control. Lastly, the tablet allows for access to Google Play and Media Hub where they can enjoy downloading apps, and watch television shows and movies. The tablet runs on a dual-core processor and has Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with TouchWiz UI for its operating system. It also comes with 8GB of storage capacity.
In the market, this device may compete with the Google Nexus 7 tablet, which has a price tag of $50 less than this one. Unlike the Nexus 7 tablet, however, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 Student Edition Bundle sports a microSD card slot, allowing for expansion, as well as a rear-facing camera to complement a front-facing shooter.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 Student Edition Bundle is now available from various retailers, including Amazon, Best Buy, Fry’s, Costco, and Tiger Direct.
