The Micromax A57 Superfone Ninja 3 was launched today to become Micromax’s latest entry into the Android smartphone market. The India-based manufacturer has already released a few of its devices within the last couple of month evidence that it is also trying to claim its piece of the pie. The A57 Superfone Ninja 3 is going to capture the market with its entry-level specs, cheaper price and a bit dated Android version.
The official specifications sheet provided by the Indian phone maker shows that there’s nothing really spectacular about this handset. The thing is, it is trying to attract people who have the desire for technology yet couldn’t afford to buy devices offered at a higher price range. India has become home to the cheapest electronic gadgets since 2009; this year alone, more than 10 models of cheap tablets were released while big manufacturers also released their own version of budget-friendly smartphones and tablets.
Among the first few mobile devices the company released this year are the following:
- Micromax Superfone Elite A84
- Micromax A100 Phablet
- Micromax Superfone A80 Infinity
- Micromax A44 Superfone Punk Dual SIM Budget Smartphone

Micromax A57 Pricing and Availability
Micromax will offer its newest device for 4,999 Indian Rupees or around US$90 and will be made available in two colors: yellow and black. It is now available across India, however, there is no information or even rumors whether the company would want to bring it to other regions. Nevertheless, this is a great step for Micromax to gain exposure and following. But I doubt it would make a really good impact on tech enthusiasts considering its unimpressive specs and date OS.
