Droid World Takes Place This October In London With Free To Attend Workshops

Apps World is going to take place on October 2nd through the 3rd in Earl’s Court 2, London and part of that is what’s going to be called Droid World. This is where all the leading Android developers, Google Android representatives, handset manufacturers and operators will be delving some very valuable developer advice through a few free workshops on ideas that will be covering a numerous amount of topics. Some of these topics deal with design, build, build, architecture, interface and monetization issues. All of the workshops will be interactive where attendees will actually be encouraged to suggest different discussion topics, debate and collaborate with others.

Ian Johnson, who is an MD of six Degrees organizes Apps World and said that “We are pleased to be offering this 2 day free to attend Android track at Apps World, we plan to cover a variety of issues across the Android ecosystem such as; monetisation, testing and security whilst also offering developers advice on PR and marketing their apps. Android is offering lots of new possibilities right now, with new evolving interfaces including voice and 3D, it’s great to see these exciting developers who are making it happen being brought together.”

Here’s some of the speakers that you’ll be seeing at Droid World in October of this year:

  • Grant Allen, Author of Beginning Android 4 and Principal Architect, Google

If you’re wanting to read more about what the workshops will be covering just head on over to this link. You’ll find a ton of different information as to what will be covered along with the main topics for Day 1 and 2 of Droid World. Registration is free and you will get access to only Droid World, but also the following events during Apps World:

The Apps World exhibition
Meet face-to-face and network with 5000 industry experts from the world of mobile marketing and multiplatform apps.

The Developer Zone workshops
Returning for the third year the Developer Zone will be offering tons of expert advice and practical instruction on many aspects of making a living from building apps.

Technical Briefing
The free-to-attend Technical Briefing Track, offers tons of expert advice and practical instruction on many practical and strategic aspects of making a living from building apps in a closed environment.

Personally, the Developer Zone sounds the most interesting out of all of them, in my opinion. It’d be cool to see that expert advice and practical discussion they will be offering on how to make a living from just building apps. Most people manage to make a living off of them already without that help and instruction, but getting it from experts I can imagine would be some very valuable knowledge to have access to.

If you’re not able to make it to London this year though, you should be excited to know that a very similar event to Droid World will be coming to North America will be taking place within the coming months. It’s supposed to be held in San Francisco, California on February 5th and 6th of 2013. Travel costs might be a bit cheaper that way too as we all know that London is a huge tourist point and therefore the prices are most likely pretty jacked up.
