Owners of the international Samsung Galaxy S III device won’t have to wait a whole lot longer for their update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. As we reported just the other day, the update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is supposedly supposed to land next week, a little bit after the Mobile Unpacked event in Berlin, Germany wraps up. Of course, if you’re not one of those people that tend to be patient towards these sort of things, there’s been another leaked build for the Galaxy S III Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update that has been making its mark across the world wide web. This new version that has been called the XXDLH7, was leaked as an over-the-air (OTA) update package for those that live in the United Kingdom with an unlocked Galaxy S III, from the last Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich build which was XXBLG8 system with the XXLH1 baseband.
There has been no word on what changed from any of the many previous leaked Galaxy S III Android 4.1 Jelly Bean builds, but if you put how close we are to the launch date of this update, everything should be working fantastically in this new version. Android Central even reports that rumors have popped up around today’s leaked build that this is the final Jelly Bean OTA. Android Central has not been able to confirm that statement though, considering how close we are to the release of it though, I wouldn’t doubt it for a second.
Again though, if you’re one of those that have an insanely hard time with patience, just hit the source link which will take you to Android Central where they have instructions as to how to get to the OTA file package. If you can wait, well just buckle in until next Wednesday where we should see everything at the Samsung Mobile Unpacked event in Berlin, Germany.
