I guess you could say that Shoot the Zombirds by developer, Infinite Dreams, is a fairly new game to hit the Google Play store. It’s not recent, but it is one of the more newer games. Infinite Dreams is known for their very high quality applications, and with Shoot the Zombirds, they definitely live up to that high expectation the community has of them. The only thing is, it’s very obvious that this game was once again…you guessed it…meant for a tablet. I kind of wish developers would put more effort into Smartphone optimization, I don’t have a problem with tablet games but when I want to play something on my smartphone I kinda wish it was better in the quality department.
What I did find interesting is that Shoot the Zombirds is free on Google Play while it costs $0.99 on iTunes. I’m kind of leaning towards that they love Android users, but I’m most likely wrong. The only thing I can guess is that it’s free on Google Play because it advertises everything on Facebook and the app is full of those crummy advertisements! I wish they would of just made the game $0.99 instead of filling it with advertisements and permission to annoy your friends over on Facebook.
A plus to this game is it’s amazing graphics. I personally think they are really cool and fit the dark theme of Zombie Birds. You may think this game sounds a lot like Angry Birds, but really it isn’t. The goal of the game is you play as a weird pumpkin man as you shoot down all the Zombie Birds or “Zombirds” as they call it. You’re also supposed to defend what they call the “pumpkids.” It’s kind of a weird goal, but hey! This is definitely a quality app, but not my style of game. Essentially this is a “action shooter game” something you might play at an arcade store like Dave & Busters or something.
I should also note that this isnot a game that children should be playing. It’s kind of weird even for an adult and while it may seem to be just a funny concept I can imagine this game probably freaking out a lot of children. I’m not really sure what to think of this game. I’m definitely labeling it as “weird” though. Aside from that, it has some pretty good quality development, but it’s pretty weird.
The huge downside is that this app has tons of ads and advertisements to Facebook via Google Play. If you can get past that, I think some might enjoy this game while others may not. Really this is a play it for yourself and find out if you like it or not. I do have to say that Infinite Dreams, the developer, did an outstanding job on the effects though. Other than that, I can’t really say this game is even worth your time to play. I’m glad they put quality development into it, but it just does not work.
