Motorola Droid RAZR HD is one of the most anticipated phones of 2012, but Verizon continues to stay silent about it. Motorola’s Droid RAZR HD has leaked out several times since April, but we don’t know how it will look like when it hits the store.
Droid RAZR and Droid RAZR MAXX have proven to be very popular phones, but the only downside is that those two phones don’t have a HD screen resolution, and that’s where Motorola Droid RAZR HD is supposed to shine.
Battery life is a big problem with Android devices, and that’s where Droid RAZR MAXX excelled. Droid RAZR MAXX with a big 3,300 mAh battery has found to be consumer’s choice, and Droid RAZR HD is expected to be popular as it will be combining both HD screen quality and a 3,300mAh battery found in the Droid RAZR MAXX.
Previously leaked picture of back plate of Droid RAZR HD reveals that it will supporting Verizon’s 4G LTE network and the back panel appears to be made of Kevlar, which should make it sturdy and protect the phone from the elements and clumsiness.
There haven’t been any clear leaks about what internals the phone will be boasting. There was a leak which showed the GLBenchmarks and it confirms the phone’s 720p display and its speedy Snapdragon S4 processor.
Motorola recently launched Motorola Atrix HD, which is similar to Droid Razr in terms if structure and also boasts 720p resolution HD display. Motorola Atrix HD device features a 4.5-inch HD display, dual core 1.5 GHz CPU, 8MP camera on the back, 1.3MP front facing camera, 8GB of onboard storage (expandable up to 32GB), 1GB of RAM, 4G LTE on AT&T’s network and Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich.
The internals of Droid RAZR HD should be similar to Motorola Atrix HD on AT&T. Droid RAZR HD itself has striking resemblance with Droid RAZR MAXX and Droid RAZR from a design standpoint. From the rear panel picture, Motorola has managed to make it really flat, similar to Droid RAZR MAXX, which suggests there is a 3,300 mAh battery underneath. The device will have a microHDMI and USB ports on the bottom of the phone.
The device’s speedy dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor and Qualcomm Adreno 225 GPU, awesome HD screen, combined with a big battery while running 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or Android 4.1 Jelly Bean right out of the box should make the device a hit at Verizon. With iPhone 5 slated to launch in near future, Verizon should consider giving away some information about the device and launch date which will help people take a decision.
We will keep our eyes open for any kind information about the device.
