For those of us who were planning on going for the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III, which is scheduled to be launched on July 11, we have another option now. The Verizon HTC Droid Incredible 4G is now expected to be out on July 5.
We first heard about the HTC Droid Incredible 4G when Verizon announced it in the International CTIA Wireless 2012 back on May 7 but since we have had no word about the small yet powerful 4 inch smartphone.
Verizon has not yet listed the HTC Droid Incredible in it’s web inventory, but a leaked screenshot on Droid Life reveals a whole lot more about the device than just the launch date of July 5. Verizon will be making the phone available for $199 along with a two year contract, with the “possibility of a mail-in rebate.”
The Samsung Galaxy S III launch date after being pushed back to July 11 is expected to sell like hotcakes and now, with the Verizon HTC Droid Incredible 4G on the line a few days earlier to the Galaxy S III, it is going to be a very busy month for the guys at Verizon.
For those who are more interested in the HTC Droid Incredible 4G, than the Galaxy S III, here are the specifications:
It will be running the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, powered by a Dual-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon S4 processor coupled with 1 GB RAM. The screen will be a 4-inch super LCD qHD display. The device will come with 8 GB of internal storage memory which can be expanded up to 32 GB via a memory card. As for the camera, it sports a 28mm lens, 8MP rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and f/2.2. It also comes with an additional VGA front camera. The device will be powered by a 1,700mAh, unsealed battery.
So, in case, a huge 4.8 inch does not appeal to you, here is the alternative.
