Cube U18GT Elite Edition Tablet Features Android ICS

For those on the lookout for a new budget-friendly Android tablet PC, the China-based company Cube has released the U18GT Elite Edition. This is an improved version of a similar tablet, the Cube U18GT Elite Edition, which in contrast doesn’t have an IPS screen and has a different processor.


Running on the Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich Operating System, U18GT Elite Edition tablet is powered by an ARM Cortex-A8 dual-core processor with a clock speed of 1.2 GHz. It has a full Gigabyte of DDR3 RAM and 8 GB of storage memory onboard. This tablet also comes equipped with a G-Sensor as well as a 3D accelerator on its GPU, which means that the user can play 3D games and video content on this tablet.

This tablet also features a 7-inch capacitive IPS display with a screen resolution of 1024 x 600 and five-point multi-touch capability. The 1920 x 1080 pixels video playback is supported by the device. Moreover, the device can play WMV, MPEG4, H.264 and TS videos. The tablet is also capable of HDMI video output should the user prefer a larger screen for the tablet without losing HD quality.

A built-in front-facing camera makes video chat possible on various video conferencing apps such as Skype, MSN, and QQ. Connectivity is made possible via a built-in Wi-Fi adapter. There is also support for OTG and 3G, the latter by means of an external dongle. The browser which comes with the device supports Flash and HTML5, allowing the user to enjoy more entertainment content on the device. As for its battery, this device carries a high-capacity Lithium-ion battery, which promises a long battery life.

The Cube U18GT Elite Edition has a price tag of only $119.99 and is available from various online retailers. The package of the tablet PC comes with a USB cable, a user manual in Chinese, and a charger for the tablet PC.
