For good racing games, it seems, the race is always on. A new contender is Asphalt 7: Heat from Gameloft, which will be available on Android after having been released some days earlier on iOS. To tease fans, Gameloft has released a video trailer which is available online. This app is the latest version of Asphalt 6: Adrenaline, which has proven itself quite popular among users of mobile devices.
Among the features of the game are 60 car models, all of which are fully licensed from famous car makers such as Lamborghini, Ferrari, BMW, Aston Martin, DeLorean, and Audi. Users can unlock car models as options when they level up. Alternatively, they can also purchase the car using virtual cash. Users control the car via their accelerometer or through taps. As per usual, the graphics are cutting-edge and showcase 15 tracks with real cities as their backdrop, including London, Miami, Rio de Janeiro, Hawaii, and Paris.
Three modes of play may be selected, including career mode, online mode, and quick race. The first one provides readers with 15 leagues and 150 races in 6 variants. The online mode, meanwhile, allows for multiplayer gaming with up to five other users. Lastly, the quick race mode is for those times when you simply need to take a break from work or stuck in a line waiting for something.
The quick race mode, however, is not a one-size-fits-all option as users may choose from among a standard racing choice, elimination, knockout, and limited time gaming. To keep things interesting, they can likewise decide on the difficulty level and the race location. Gameloft even makes available a spinner that randomizes options in case you are too lazy to pick them for yourself.
On Apple devices, the game has a file size of 1.11 GB which hints at how far the developers went into the details in developing the graphics, sounds, and gameplay of Asphalt 7: Heat. Android users should expect more or less the same hefty file size, as well as the same $0.99 price tag, as developers usually give the same cost for their apps whether these are for iOS or Android devices.
