If you are among the many who have pre ordered the new HTC Evo 4G LTE from Sprint, you were disappointed almost a week back. Thanks to Apple, HTC had some problem with the International Trade Commission (ITC) and the United States customs which banned the import of the Taiwanese company’s phones into the United States. Now, after a few days of circling the courts, HTC has been able to remove the ban on the imports and is given the green signal to bring in as many phones as it likes on some conditions, which is out of the scope of this post.
Now that the ban is taken off, when can you get your phone? Those of you who have pre ordered the HTC Evo 4G LTE directly from Sprint will be getting it sometime around 24th of May, which is just one day after the date which was announced as the launch day at BestBuy. Now, only Sprint smart phones are being made available on that day. So if you have ordered it outside of Sprint such as at BestBuy or Amazon, you will probably have to wait a few more weeks before you get your hands on your HTC Evo 4G LTE.
Customers who pre-ordered HTC EVO 4G LTE…Your wait is almost over! Sprint expects to begin shipping HTC EVO 4G LTE for arrival on or around Thursday, May 24 to customers who pre-ordered the device online from Sprint. We will provide details on the full national launch as soon as possible. To access the latest news and device information, visit our Sprint Community page where we’ll be providing regular updates.
