Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7″) Preorders Today, On Sale April 22

Samsung formally announced the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 back in February. We’ve been hearing a lot of rumors as to when we’d see the re-up for both of Samsung’s legacy tablets.

Well the time as now as the 7″ Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 goes up for preorder today for $250 and will be available starting April 22.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7″ features a 7″ superAMOLED screen running on a dual core 1ghz processor. There’s a 3 megapixel camera on the back and a VGA front facing camera for video chatting.  Both tablets will have Samsung Touch Wiz infused Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

More after the break

The original Samsung Galaxy Tab was introduced at the IFA show in Berlin in 2010. It released close to the holidays however it was only running Android 2.2 Froyo. They’ve since done a reup in the form of the Samsung Galaxy Tab Plus and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 the latter being the most recent model.

If you’re looking for an ultra pocketable tablet than this may be just what you’re looking for. If you want a tablet that nicely fits between the Galaxy Note and the Galaxy Tab 10.1 than this could also be for you.

Some folks were disappointed with the availability of faster dual core processors and even quad-core processors that the latest Samsung Galaxy Tab 2’s only had dual core 1ghz processors but we’re sure Samsung will fix that when they introduce their next  set of tablets either at CTIA next month or later in the summer at the IFA show in Berlin.
