Lenovo showed off a 9.7″ Android tablet with Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich running on it at the International Consumer Electronics Show in January. This tablet, dubbed the IdeaTab S2109, was manufactured by Foxconn, the same electronics manufacturer that handles the iPad.
The 9.7″ IdeaTab S2109 features a 4:3 IPS display, along with a dual core TI OMAP processor. For your sound enjoyment the IdeaTab employs a 4 speaker system that is SRS audio ready and should sound just as good, if not better, than the original IdeaTab.
The document filed with the FCC shows the tablet headed to the U.S., Germany, Canada, India, Russia, Mexico, Chile, Japan, China and Turkmenistan.
The same document also revealed something else about the tablet. It’s showing 2.5A input at 5V which will come with a 12.5 watt AC adapter. This should be good for a faster charging time.
The 9.7 Inch tablet should be available in the next month or so.
