Now we know the device actually exists. Earlier this year Samsung Telecommunications President JK Shin referenced the Samsung Galaxy S III. At that time all eyes pointed to Mobile World Congress in Barcelona Spain at the end of this month.
Unfortunately, something has delayed that plan and Samsung has come out and said it will not debut at Mobile World Congress. In fact they said the phone would be released later in the year and in the US. We logically thought that Samsung may be looking at a CTIA Mobile Life release. CTIA’s Mobile Life conference is set for the second week of May in New Orleans LA.
More after the break
Now our friends at Android Authority by way of Electronic Times News in Korea, are reporting that the Samsung Galaxy S III may release in May, giving credence to the rumor that we’ll all be invited to some super press event at CTIA to see the next generation of the Galaxy S.
The Samsung Galaxy S III is said to be coming in at just 7mm thick. A device that thin would be the thinnest 4G/LTE device on the market. It’s also said to debut with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, an 8 or 12 mp camera, 2mp front facing camera and a whopping 2gb of RAM to support a quad-core processor.
So are you waiting for this Samsung beast?
