When we sat down with Samsung Mobile VP and GM Tim Wagner last week in Miami he talked about there being a convergence of Samsung products. A few years down the road Wagner is hoping that Samsung can do some cross selling at an Enterprise level as more products merge.
Today it was revealed that Samsung has filed a trademark for the Samsung Galaxy Camera. Although a trademark is really just a registration of a name and the filing doesn’t say anything about specs and details of the Samsung Galaxy Camera.
Our first theory is the one being echoed around the interwebs today that Samsung may be working on an Android powered camera with bluetooth or wifi enabled. Samsung’s digital imaging unit already offers some connected cameras that make sharing pictures a cinch over wifi. Perhaps Samsung is planning on putting a 3G or 4G radio into the camera to allow even better sharing?
Polaroid has introduced a smart camera that has Android baked in and allows the user to access Android’s cool photography apps available in the Android market.
