It looks like this website, called Kimstore, is trying to make a quick buck with all the hype focusing around the Galaxy S III. The Samsung Galaxy S III (i9300) was originally leaked by Samsung Telecommunications President JK Shin. At that time we were hoping for an MWC release, however Samsung has confirmed that’s not the case and we will see the device later this Spring, most likely in May.
In the meantime Kimstore, which is part of some strange network called multiply.com, has posted the device for preorder online. The website lists the specs of the Samsung Galaxy S III which seem to coincide with all of the leaked specs we’ve seen to date.
More after the break
As far as specs are concerned, Kimstore reports that the Samsung Galaxy S III will feature:
-SuperAmoled Plus display with capacitive touchscreen and 16m colors
– 720×1280 resolution at 4.6″
– 12 megapixel rear facing camera
– Video recording at 1080p
– 16gb or 32gb onboard storage and 2gb of RAM
– Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
We find it highly unlikely that a lower tier online site actually has any real information. It appears they are just looking to generate hits and excitement by putting up a preorder site.
One of the biggest things that doesn’t jive with this preorder site is that they say the Galaxy S III will debut with Android 2.3, Gingerbread. We find this highly unlikely, especially considering that Samsung has had Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich the longest.
