This Android phone couldn’t possibly have a better name than ZTE Era. Why, because it’s a new Era and ZTE and Huawei are carving out a huge chunk of the Android manufacturer pie, right here in Barcelona at Mobile World Congress.
ZTE introduced an entire portfolio of devices including tablets, Android phones, Windows phones, data modems and more. This is definitely a big show for the Chinese mobile giant. One of the phones we weren’t expecting is the ZTE Era.
The ZTE Era has a 4.3″ screen and is powered by Nvidia’s 4+1 core Tegra 3 processor providing speeds of 1.3ghz per core. It’s being released with Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich, and it’s uber thin at just 7.8mm thin.
More after the break
Rounding out the ZTE Era’s feature set is an 8mp camera on the back, capable of shooting 1080p video. It also has NFC capabilities and 8gb of internal memory. It’s also rocking Nvidia’s Icera modem which ZTE made reference too before the MWC festivities started, via press release.
ZTE hopes to release this phone in the fall of 2012
