App Spotlight: Band Trackr

If you are a huge music buff like myself, than concerts can be an awesome way to meet and connect with your bands. Everyone knows that. But finding all of your bands concerts, figuring out when and where they play, and getting all of your tickets and concert buddies together can be a whole different story. Band Trackr wants to help you out with that.

Band Trackr is a concert managing app that allows you to follow your favorite bands through their tours and complements it with social network sharing. From the get-go, the app will show you all of the concerts there are in the area and allow you to buy tickets for them. This way, any shows that are near you will automatically be sent to your phone if you choose to be notified for them.

Band Trackr also brings social networks into the equation as well. If you use Last.fm, than the app will search for your listening habits, and notify you when your favorite bands are in town. Any time one of them play, you will get a notification depending on where you are in respect to where they are playing. TripIt is also integrated, so if you are on vacation Band Trackr will notify you of bands playing near your vacation spot. You can also share your concerts via Facebook and Twitter, and you can even check into the events via Foursquare. BandTrackr wants to bridge the gap between bands and their fans.

BandTrackr is currently in an open beta, and is accepting any feedback they can get to improve their app. They state the following in their description:

Whether you rate our app with 1 star or 5 we would greatly appreciate constructive feedback from you. Our goal at Band Trackr is to offer you the best app possible that will both meet your needs and keep it as simple as possible in order to constantly improve the experience and performance for you. So go ahead and let us grow together.
