CES 2012: Quick Look At The Sony Xperia S

We weren’t sure what to call this device. Should we call it the Sony Ericsson Xperia S, The Sony Xperia S or the Sony Mobile Communications Xperia S, whatever we call it, it’s 12 mega pixels of Android awesomeness.

With an enormous 12 mega pixel camera you’re going to need an equally as good display. Well Sony doesn’t fall short in that department as the Sony Xperia S features a 4.3 inch true HD (720p) display powered by Sony’s Mobile Bravia engine.

It features 1gb of RAM and of course supports a microSD card for up tot 32gb of external storage. It’s running Android 2.3 which Sony insists is going to see an upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, somewhere in the immediate future.

Although it probably won’t be available by a specific carrier just yet, Sony will probably offer the Sony Xperia S unlocked to various retailers.
