Asus OG Transformer To Get ICS Soon After Asus Prime

On January 3rd we reported that Asus had officially announced that the new flagship Nvidia Tegra 3 processor powered, Eee Pad Transformer Prime would start receiving Android 4.0 on January 12, 2012.

When that was announced those with original Eee Pad Transformer tablets (barely a year old) were up in arms hoping that they too would get the power of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The official Asus Facebook Page, where they announced the Prime upgrade, now clearly identified the original Transformer as Android 4.0 compatible as well. So if you have one lets breathe a collective sigh of relief, hopefully the update will be soon.
