Samsung Re-evaluating Android 4.0 For Original Galaxy S And Galaxy Tab

Over the weekend we ran a story that was running rampant across the internet despite the fact that it was Christmas weekend. It was reported that the original Samsung Galaxy S and the original Samsung Galaxy Tab (7″ version from 2010) would not be upgraded to Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich. is reporting today that Samsung is re-evaluating that decision after there was a huge outcry from owners of both devices about the news. The Samsung Galaxy S has been Samsung’s most successful Android device to date.

Although it looks like it could have been a fake we also ran a story yesterday on the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy S III. According to the source of the story the Galaxy S III would run Android 4.0 and Touch Wiz 5. Of course both are probably hardware dependent but perhaps it’s possible that Samsung could create some kind of hybrid to get ICS on the original Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab.
