Have you seen the new Samsung commercials? You know the ones where the Apple fanboys are lined up waiting for the release of “the next big thing” in the commercial series Samsung pokes fun at the iPhone fanboys waiting for features the Samsung Galaxy S II already has.
Research organization YouGov’s most recent BrandIndex buzz score report credits those Samsung ads with helping Samsung beat out Apple in the latest perception index of adults 18 and over.
The ad campaign, which started November 22nd, has helped improve Samsung’s top of mind awareness. Samsung has also been in the news a lot recently as international patent cases against Apple have moved to the forefront of the technology news cycle.
YouGov’s Brandindex Buzz Score is measured by asking respondents:
“If you’ve heard anything about the brand in the last two weeks, through advertising, news or word of mouth, was it positive or negative?”
Apple’s iPhone started loosing steam on November 28th while Samsung continued upward.
