Perhaps the hold up for an official Verizon Wireless announcement of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is because it’s also going to Sprint? Briefmobile.com has obtained this packing list image containing a Nexus Prime poster headed to United Cellular, Sprint’s largest third party dealer.

The Galaxy Nexus was announced Wednesday morning in Hong Kong.  At that time only DoCoMo for Japan was announced as a carrier despite a variety of leaked images of Verizon Wireless Galaxy Nexus devices.  We definitely believe that the Galaxy Nexus is headed to Verizon Wireless, but after the success of the Nexus S 4G on Sprint, it’s certainly believable that the Galaxy Nexus is headed to Sprint as well.

SamsungJohn on Twitter has confirmed to Briefmobile that the code name for the Galaxy Nexus was Nexus Prime.

Do you believe it?

I hope Sprint gets it! If they pass this up it could be a HUGE loss for them.
