BBM Is Finally Coming To Android, Screen Shots Leaked



It’s hard to believe but there are a lot of Blackberry users out there that are refusing to switch to a more successful, robust OS like Android, because there is no BBM service.  BBM is Blackberry’s proprietary messenger service and allows for 1 on 1 and group chatting using a pin provided to each Blackberry user.  Entire work fleets, groups of friends, colleges and more have in the past used Blackberry Messenger to broadcast and interact using messages.

For over a year BBM has been rumored to be coming to Android, and now Techradar.com has obtained pictures of BBM actually on an Android device. Hopefully these photos mean that BBM for Android is right around the corner.  Techradar says that a RIM (Blackberry’s manufacturer) employee has actually furnished the photos for them. They also report that the Android app is in it’s final stages and we should see it by the beginning of 2012.

Techradar upated their original story to suggest that the photos could possibly be fake but they are cautiously optimistic that they are genuine.  As they suggest, we won’t know for sure until BBM arrives for Android.
