One thing I love about Android is the fact that the customization never ends. Once you think you’ve got your phone/tablet just the way you want it, something comes along and you want more. At TechCrunch Disrupt 2011 in San Francisco, I had the chance to talk to the team from FlyScreen.
Originally from Israel, this innovative team is re-thinking about how we (Android users) get our update information. The FlyScreen lockscreen widget allows users to manage their RSS feeds, Twitter, Facebook, weather and any other news right from the lockscreen without having to log in. There are many different lockscreen apps available but the UI on this widget is very user friendly when adding content, the experience is very streamline and one of their widgets shows your RSS feed in the form of the Star Wars opening credits (no music included).
According to Avi Elias, their Co-Founder and EVP, the app is getting a total revamp right now. In order to take advantage of the new FlyScreen, one will have to sign up on their beta list. Go check it out and let us know what you think!
